Positioned in a city where thousands of girls are trafficked every year within the country and throughout Southern Asia:
Who’s at Risk?
Young girls and women trapped in exploitation have very few options or opportunities to leave.
Children born to women trapped in sexual slavery throughout the country are highly vulnerable to being trafficked, and this will likely be their fate without intervention.
The Oasis is on a mission to rescue, repatriate, and restore survivors through the love and power of God.
As a Project Rescue Network Partner, The Oasis is committed to a holistic approach to enacting transformational change in the lives of those who have been trafficked, sexually exploited, or are at risk.
Project Objectives
-
Women and children will tangibly experience the love of God through care offered through The Oasis.
-
Women and children will receive medical care, training in proper health practices, and daily nutritious meals.
-
Women and children will begin the journey of holistic healing—mind, body, and spirit.
-
Women will learn new skills; empowering them to be employed by our business, a partner business, or start their own business to provide a safe and sustainable future for themselves and their children.
-
Children of women will have the opportunity to go to school and have a safe and beautiful future.
We are developing multiple programs to meet complex needs.
The Oasis will consist of at least 6 different programs: an outreach, training center, shelter, children’s center, aftercare home, and business.
THE TRAINING CENTER will be a vocational and literacy training program for women taking steps out of sexual slavery and toward a new beginning.
THE CHILDREN’S CENTER will be a safe learning and care center for children in the red-light district.
THE BUSINESS will employ women from our vocational training program and provide them with sustainable and dignified work.
THE OUTREACH will take place in local red-light areas to build relationships and trust with women and children.
THE SHELTER will be emergency housing for crisis situations.
THE REFUGE will be a safe home for survivors of trafficking.
