AT 14 YEARS OLD, PRIM WAS AT A HIGH RISK OF BECOMING A SEX SLAVE

She lived on the streets of an area plagued with prostitution.

But instead of getting adopted into a brothel, Prim was brought to a Project Rescue home, a safe haven for many young girls like her.

However, Prim's transition was anything but smooth. She arrived deeply anxious and upset, overwhelmed by the trauma she had experienced living on the streets. Her fear was so intense that she refused to attend school.

Each day was a struggle, and our dedicated staff had to encourage her to perform even the most basic tasks. Eating, changing clothes, and brushing her teeth became daily battles.

Despite being surrounded by 50 other girls who shared similar backgrounds, Prim felt an overwhelming sense of loneliness.

The memories of her past and the uncertainty of her future haunted her, leading her to wake up in tears many nights. The road to recovery was long, requiring immense patience and unwavering support from our staff. Her social worker spent countless hours conversing with Prim, slowly helping her rebuild trust and feel secure.

Several months passed before Prim began to show signs of improvement. Gradually, she started attending school with the other students, a significant milestone in her journey. As she settled into a routine, Prim's confidence began to grow. She started to form bonds with her peers, feeling more comfortable and accepted within the community.

The following year brought a remarkable transformation. As the new school year began, the students were allowed to elect four class officers. In a testament to her growing self-assurance and the respect she had earned from her classmates, Prim was nominated and elected as class Secretary! This incredible achievement was a clear indication of the profound change that had taken place in her heart and mind.

Today, Prim is a beacon of bravery and joy. The once fearful girl is now a confident young woman, her smile radiating happiness and hope. She continues to thrive academically, excelling in her studies and actively participating in school activities. Prim's story is a powerful testament to the transformative power of love, support, and faith.
