HOPE STARTS HERE STORIES

Kamar

Where she sleeps and where she is sold are the same room and the same bed.

We have been visiting Kamar since 2022, and it took a long time for her to open up to our team about her situation. She lives in an apartment used for prostitution, and her everyday life is under the control of others. Each day, she endures unimaginable hardships and fears for her future.

Although she was afraid to talk at first, we gained her trust little by little, and she began to share her story with us. This country is not her home. Kamar was trafficked here, and she has been in prostitution for three years.

During her first year in prostitution, she had a little girl who was now two years old, and she had an older child in her home country who lived with Kamar's mother.

Kamar's biggest desire is to pay off the debt her mistress forced upon her. She told us that she dreams of finding a way to return home to reunite with her other child and her family. The weight of this debt and the pressure to earn money have taken a heavy toll on her.

On our next visit, Kamar said she was pregnant again. The father is one of the “clients.” Kamar has become very sick and depressed, feeling that her situation can only get worse. She expressed deep anxiety and confusion about what she should do with the child she was carrying.

Our team has assured her that she won’t be alone; she has our unwavering support and help, and we reminded her that God will help her through this. She hadn't experienced care and compassion from anyone in a long time, and our presence gave her hope.

Please pray that Kamar will find peace and strength as she grows in her relationship with God. Pray for her health, her unborn child, and her ability to find a path to freedom and reunite with her family. As she navigates this challenging journey, your prayers and support are a beacon of hope for Kamar. Want more ways to pray? Every month, you can find new prayer requests and praise reports here
