Dalia

Dalia’s story begins in a small village in North Africa, where she grew up dreaming of a better life.

Like many, Dalia had hoped for an opportunity to support her family and build a future. But her world was torn apart when she was trafficked and sold into the agricultural industry.

What she thought might be an escape from poverty became a nightmare. Forced to endure unimaginable abuse, she was exploited both sexually and for labor in the harshest conditions, far from home.

For years, Dalia suffered, sold from one captor to another, until her spirit was nearly crushed. Her traffickers treated her as an object, using her for profit and stripping away her dignity. She believed there was no way out, that she had been forgotten by the world and perhaps even by God.

But God had not forgotten Dalia. A concerned bystander, recognizing the signs of her exploitation, reported her situation to local authorities. This moment was the beginning of her rescue. The authorities, associated with Project Rescue, freed Dalia and entrusted her to our partner's care.

When she first arrived at Project Rescue’s safe home, Dalia was broken and afraid. Yet, through the love and compassion of the community around her, she began to feel the healing power of God’s love.

In her darkest moments, she discovered a new sense of hope and faith that she had never experienced before. Surrounded by people who showed her the love and care she had been missing, she slowly began to heal.

Not only was she given shelter and care, but she was also given the chance to rebuild her life. She learned to read, write, and speak the local languages, reclaiming the voice that had been silenced for so long.

As the months passed, Dalia’s transformation became undeniable. No longer a victim, she rediscovered her identity and her worth as a beloved child of God.

She felt a deep calling to give back and share the love and hope she had received. Today, Dalia works as a social mediator for Project Rescue in Northern Africa, where she advocates for other survivors of trafficking. With her unique experience and her faith, she connects with those who are still in bondage, offering them the same hope and understanding that restored her.

Dalia’s journey is a testament to the power of faith and God's healing love. From a life of unimaginable hardship, she has emerged as a beacon of hope, showing that God’s love can bring redemption even in the darkest places.

Now, she not only helps to rescue others but also ensures they know they are seen, loved, and never forgotten by God.

Her joy in serving others is rooted in her faith, as she continually shares the hope she once so desperately needed, knowing that it was God’s grace that ultimately set her free.
