The word opportunity struck Bella’s heart in an instant.

The word carried a weight that resonated deep within her soul. It painted vivid visions of a life she had only dared to dream about—financial freedom, the pursuit of her long-held aspirations, and the chance to live a life far better than the one she knew.

The lure was irresistible. Inspired and driven by these powerful visions, Bella made the decision to leave behind everything she had ever known. 

She left the fields where she had toiled for years, her close-knit family, and the small, familiar world she had always called home. All of this, she abandoned to follow a man she had just met, a man who seemed to promise her the world.

Bella believed him to be her rescuer, the one who would lead her to a better life. But her hope was shattered when she discovered the truth.

The man she trusted was not her savior but her captor.

Bella’s journey took her to Europe, where she found herself trapped in the nightmare of sexual slavery. With a fabricated $55,000 “debt” hanging over her, she was forced into a life of unimaginable horror.

Night after night, Bella was prostituted, tortured, and exploited by those who sought only to profit from her suffering.

Yet, by a miracle that seemed impossible, Bella managed to escape her captors. But her ordeal was far from over.

Without identification or immigration papers, the police saw her only as an undocumented immigrant and sent her to a detention center to await deportation.

But then, another miracle unfolded. A Project Rescue director learned of Bella’s plight and intervened. Arrangements were made for her to be taken to a safe home, where she would finally receive the care and restoration she so desperately needed.

Over the following months, Bella forged deep friendships with the director and the caring team, who worked tirelessly to help her heal both physically and mentally.

Through their love and support, Bella began to experience the transformation of a lifetime. She chose to put her trust in God, and in doing so, she felt Him breathe new life into her soul.

Today, Bella is no longer the broken woman she once was. She learned the language of her new home, earned a permanent work permit, and successfully graduated from vocational school. She found a new family in her fellow followers of God, and God blessed her with a loving husband.

Together, they now serve in ministry, sharing their testimony of hope and redemption. Project Rescue celebrates the miraculous transformation in Bella’s life.
