Late one night at a Project Rescue aftercare home in India a group of rescued teenage girls called their ministry leader. “We feel God has put in our hearts to pray for children who are being trafficked. Aunty, can we stay up and pray?” The leader immediately affirmed their desire, thanking God for the restorative work He has done in the lives of these rescued girls.
Trafficked into sexual slavery themselves, many of the teenage girls have battled with demonic possession when they first came into the home. God is now using them by His Spirit through prayer and intercession. After interceding from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., the girls saw news in the morning that the very hours they were praying a raid occurred in the red light area of their city where 35 children were rescued! These young women of God were thrilled, not only for the rescue but they can now hear God’s voice and He can use them to bring freedom to others.
When God’s people intercede for victims of sexual slavery, battles are won!
