Freedom for Priya

Pray for Priya today. A brothel owner purchased her when she was just a baby.

At 16 she is already the mother of a 3-year-old girl. She does not know where her parents are and has never been to school. Priya is forced to serve at least 15-20 customers a day, even though she has tuberculosis. While still living and working in the red-light district, Priya connected with a Project Rescue affiliated medical clinic. Now she receives medication for her tuberculosis on a regular basis.

Despite the desperation of her circumstance, we believe God can heal and restore Priya. We believe that he can heal her spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Join us in prayer for Priya’s journey to complete healing and restoration.

“LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” Psalm 30:2

Freedom for Priya

Can we know why isn’t she willing to leave that life? Does ProjectRescue have a strategy to restore such people to normal life?

    • Project Rescue says:

Hi Deepak, women and children who have been sexually exploited often do not see another option. The psychological trauma is so severe that escape often seems impossible. In addition to this, in certain places, the culture itself perpetuates the cycle of exploitation and devalues women and children who have been exploited. Project Rescue focuses a lot on prayer and relationships. It is only by God’s intervention in women’s lives that they can truly be free.
