Kate Gordon passionate, optimistic, determined

Age: Just turned the big 3-0

Occupation: Executive Director of Network of Hope

Childhood Ambition: To be a teacher so that I could encourage kids to reach their dreams.

One thing about yourself that would surprise people: I like to be alone and lose myself in a great book.

Favorite Indulgence: Taking an entire day and to read a historical fiction novel.

Favorite Family Ritual: The 7 days of Christmas. My grandmother began this tradition by giving us a present for each of the 7 days leading up to Christmas. I have continued the tradition with my husband and will pass it on to my children.

How and why did you become involved with Project Rescue?
I met Beth Grant about on year ago at my home church. She began to telling me of the thousands of girls being trafficked into the States and that there was no place for them. She challenged me to begin thinking of ways we could help bring hope to them. The rest is history.
